The pale Portland stone west front seen head-on from the pavement, with the two square West Towers rising either side of the great traceried west window and the arched west door below it. Buttresses, pinnacles and rows of niche statues run up the facade, and the shot is framed tightly enough that the towers fill the top of the frame against open sky.
