History
Abbott Memorial Library was built in 1905 using a bequest made in 1903 by local attorney Ira Abbott, and serves as the public library for South Pomfret village, per Wikipedia's "Abbott Memorial Library (Pomfret, Vermont)" article. The library building, constructed in the Queen Anne and Shingle styles, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 6, 2015 (reference number 14001141).
