Bethpage State Park: Red
Golf course · Farmingdale, New York
The second course to play, at the same address and clubhouse as the Black. Golf Digest's course record gives it as Facility Type Public, 18 holes, 7,092 yards, slope 129, designed by A.W. Tillinghast and opened in 1935, and calls it "considered by many, including us, to be Bethpage's second-best layout." It carries no position on Golf Digest's 2025-'26 New York ranking, on which Bethpage appears once, as the Black. Booked through the same state reservation system, with the same free registration and the same five-day non-resident window; non-residents pay $90.00 for 18 holes on weekdays and $100.00 at weekends and holidays on the operator's 4/22/2026 sheet, and the reservation limit is once per 14 days. Carts are permitted. Season 1 April to 29 November 2026. Its September 2026 outing, maintenance and aeration exposure is substantially heavier than the Black's.
