Brooklyn Navy Yard Historic District

The 225.15-acre former United States Navy shipyard, operating from 1801 to 1966 and now a working industrial park. Individual buildings are not generally open to unguided public entry.
History
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 22, 2014 as a U.S. Historic District. It contains Quarters A, the commandant's residence and a National Historic Landmark, and Dry Dock 1, completed in 1851 and a New York City designated landmark.
