Burnham Tavern and Trails
Historic site · Lisbon, Connecticut
A post-and-beam Colonial and Georgian house on land the Burnham family bought in 1723, run as a tavern from 1755; 464 men mustered here on September 4, 1774. Listed on the National Register in March 2022. Now 129 acres of walled fields still leased to local farmers, with newly designed walking trails from the Kimball Road trailhead.
