Church of St Mary the Virgin, Monken Hadley

The Grade II listing was made on 18 July 1949 and amended 7 April 1983. A tight group of entries surrounds it: Hadley House, Grade II, NHLE 1078824; the stable block to Hadley House, Grade II, NHLE 1293470; Hadley Hurst, Grade II, NHLE 1188803; Pagitt's Almshouses 1, 2 and 3, Grade II, NHLE 1078820; the Wilbraham Almshouses, Grade II, NHLE 1078821; and the Gate House and Gate, Grade II, NHLE 1078809. The access gates to Hadley Common at each end of The Crescent are separately Grade II, NHLE 1078832. The Monken Hadley conservation area was designated by the London Borough of Barnet in December 1968 alongside Mill Hill, amended in February 1979 and extended in January 2007. Monken Hadley was in Hertfordshire from 1889 until 1965.
