The Church of St Peter and St Paul stands on Crown Street in Dagenham Village and is the Church of England parish church of Dagenham. History
The church is listed at Grade II* as NHLE 1359302, first listed 28 June 1954, with the statutory address Church of St Peter and St Paul, Crown Street; it is of medieval origin and was largely rebuilt at the beginning of the nineteenth century, and it stands inside the Dagenham Village conservation area. The churchyard was closed to burials in the 1990s and has been managed for wildlife since; its importance lies chiefly in invertebrates, with woodpeckers feeding on an avenue of lime trees. It holds the Commonwealth war graves of seventeen service personnel, nine from the First World War and eight from the Second.
