Coney Island Light

An active United States Coast Guard aid to navigation, a 75-foot steel skeletal tower also known as Norton Point Light. It stands on Coast Guard property inside Sea Gate's gated grounds.
History
The light was established in 1890, the present tower first lit in 1920, and the station automated by the Coast Guard in 1989. Frank Schubert kept it from 1960 until his death in 2003 and is widely described as the last civilian lighthouse keeper in the United States.
