History
Ernest Berry Webber designed it in the modern style in 1936 and it opened the following year. Barking and Dagenham London Borough Council occupied it until 2016; it was vacated and leased to CU London the following year. It is listed at Grade II as NHLE 1064422, first listed 24 August 1981, under the list entry name Former Main building and Council Chamber of Dagenham Civic Centre.
