History
The Eastern Slope Inn, built in 1926 to a design by architects Haynes & Mason in the Colonial Revival style, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 10, 1982, per Wikipedia's "Eastern Slope Inn" article. Wikipedia describes it as "historically important as a major element in the popularization of downhill skiing in the area." Harvey Dow Gibson, who founded Cranmore Mountain Resort, also acquired the Eastern Slope Inn in 1937.
