Farm River State Park

Occupies the western shoreline of the Farm River estuary where the river meets Long Island Sound; designated a state park in 1998. Trails, kayaking and canoeing, a boat launch and dock rentals, fishing, picnicking and birding. Open daily 8 a.m. to sunset, free admission, leashed pets allowed. Phone (203) 287-5658.
