Filson Co., was established in Seattle in 1897 as Pioneer Alaska Clothing and Blanket Manufacturers, and opened this flagship store in 1998. The address rests on OpenStreetMap's geocoder together with the encyclopedia's account of the 1998 opening, rather than on a current business directory or the retailer's own store list, and no independent source confirming that the store is trading today could be reached — the listing sites attempted returned HTTP 403 in both research passes.
