Flatlands Dutch Reformed Church and Cemetery

An 1848 Greek Revival church on the site of a congregation organized in 1654, with a cemetery holding roughly 1,500 burials, the oldest dating to 1660. The grounds and cemetery are viewable from the street; the current status of the congregation and of interior access could not be confirmed.

History

The 2.5-acre complex was designated a New York City Landmark on July 19, 1966 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 30, 1979. An administration building was added in 1904 and enlarged in the 1920s.
