Gurleyville Grist Mill

Connecticut's only surviving stone gristmill, built in stages from 1723 to the 1830s and used until 1941, with original equipment still in place. Preserved by Joshua's Trust since 1979 and open for seasonal tours.
History
The mill began as a sawmill in 1723, with a grist mill added around 1750; the surviving stone structure dates to the 1830s.
