Firehouse: Hose Company #30

A former firehouse of 1895 at 1757 Waller Street, built of granite and wood in the Italianate style. It is San Francisco Landmark No. 328, designated in 2026 under Article 10 of the Planning Code. The molded panels on its first storey are lettered Chemical 5, S.F.F.D. and Truck 12.
History
It worked as a firehouse until 1959. Chemical Company Number 5 moved in in 1918, and Truck Company Number 12 was resident from 1912 to 1956. The City sold the building at public auction in 1956, and it was restored as a private residence after the sale.
