History
The Mars Hill Wind Farm, Maine's first utility-scale wind power facility, was built directly on Mars Hill Mountain in 2006 and 2007. Per Wikipedia's "Mars Hill Wind Farm" article, "a total of 28 GE 1.5 MW wind turbines were installed along the ridge and northern section of the mountain," an $85 million project.
