History
Per the City of Auburn's official Mount Apatite Park page, the park is a city-run, 325-acre wooded recreational area in western Auburn where visitors may still search old mine tailings for apatite, tourmaline and quartz specimens under posted regulations, on trails used for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
