A recreated nineteenth-century maritime village whose flagship is the 1841 whaling ship Charles W. Morgan, America's oldest commercial ship still afloat. Free parking at both entrances; open daily 10 a.m.-5 p.m., grounds to 6 p.m.
History
The Charles W. Morgan completed 37 voyages over an 80-year whaling career before the Marine Historical Association — now Mystic Seaport Museum — acquired it and brought it to Mystic on November 8, 1941, where it remains the museum's centerpiece.
