Nathan Hale Homestead

The 1776 farmhouse where Nathan Hale grew up, built the year of his execution and operated as a museum by Connecticut Landmarks. Open May through October, Friday-Saturday noon-4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with tours on the hour; grounds open dawn to dusk year-round.

History

Richard Hale bought the farm in 1740; Nathan Hale was born here in 1755, one of eight brothers, six of whom served in the Continental Army.
