Northford Center Historic District
Historic site · North Branford, Connecticut
A 230-acre district listed on the National Register on December 31, 2002, running along Middletown Avenue from the village center north past the Old Post Road junction. Buildings span the 18th to early 20th centuries, most predating the Civil War, with work by architects Henry Austin and Alfred W. Boylan; landmarks include the Gothic Revival Northford Congregational Church, the Howd-Linsley House and a tavern built in 1776. Free to walk at any time.
