Palace Theater facade

A grand movie palace on East Main Street, opened in 1922 for theater magnate Sylvester Poli and reopened in 2004 after a $30 million restoration. Today it hosts touring Broadway series, comedy, and concerts.

History

Designed by Thomas W. Lamb, the most celebrated theater architect of his era, the Palace is one of only two survivors of Poli's roughly thirty-theater northeastern empire. It went dark in 1987, reopened in 2004, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
