The substation building at 565-569 Commercial Street. San Francisco Landmark No. 142, designated in 1981, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 as Pacific Gas and Electric Company Substation J, reference number 86003514, certified 29 December 1986.
History
The National Register record gives the address as 565 Commercial and 568 Sacramento Streets. The Leidesdorff Street frontage at 222 Leidesdorff carries Category I under Article 11 of the San Francisco Planning Code.
