Springfield Park is open 24 hours a day, and Springfield House and its café open 10am to 6pm from April to September and 10am to 4pm from October to March. The park is a Grade II registered park and garden, NHLE 1000839, with a registered area of 13.44 hectares; Hackney Council gives the managed park as 14.73 hectares, the difference being the boundary on the National Heritage List against the park the council runs.

History

Springfield Park officially opened as a public park in 1905, formed from the grounds of three private houses, of which Springfield House survives. Its grid reference on the National Heritage List is TQ 34629 87518. The park slopes down to the River Lea and the Springfield Marina.
