The Garment Worker and the Big Button

Judith Weller's bronze 'The Garment Worker,' dedicated 1984, depicts a garment worker at a hand-operated sewing machine, honoring the neighborhood's Jewish immigrant workforce; beside it stands a bright-yellow pop-art sculpture of a needle threading a button, unveiled in February 2023 to replace the original 1996 kiosk.
