Korean barbecue in London is cooked on a grill at the diner's own table, and fourteen rooms across eight boroughs work that way. Four are in the West End: Kingly Street in Soho, Lisle Street and Gerrard Place in Chinatown, and the Central Saint Giles Piazza in St Giles. Three more sit north and west of it, on Praed Street in Paddington, the Edgware Road at Little Venice and Pancras Square at King's Cross. Two are in Islington, on Rosebery Avenue and Whitecross Street. The remaining five spread south and east, to Royal Crest Avenue in Silvertown, Plowden Road in Kidbrooke, Lee High Road, The Broadway in Wimbledon and New Malden High Street. Some rooms hand the grate to the party; at Little Korea on Lisle Street the chefs grill the marinated meat at the table instead.

Four of the fourteen stand inside the West End, three in Westminster and one in Camden.

Myung Ga occupies the ground floor of 1 Kingly Street in Soho, and its own menu heads the BBQ section 'You can grill meat or seafood on your table', with Kalbi, Bulgogi, Chicken BBQ, Deungsim, prawn and squid named beneath it. Little Korea is at 2-3 Lisle Street in Chinatown, where a homepage section headed 'K-BBQ On The Table' states that the chefs grill the marinated meat at the table rather than in the kitchen. Bab N Suul is at 1 Gerrard Place, also in Chinatown, where the cuts run from marinated bulgogi to A5 wagyu ribeye and are cooked on the grill at the table; its booking form makes the guest pick a table type of either BBQ or Regular Table.

SuperStar BBQ is at 4 Central Saint Giles Piazza, over the Camden boundary in St Giles. Paddington, the Edgware Road and King's Cross

Three stand north and west of the West End, two in Westminster and one in Camden.

Zanchi is at 113-115 Praed Street in Paddington. Its own site describes the business as a Korean restaurant and barbecue whose dishes and barbecue tables are built around shared meals, and its Korean BBQ list of raw belly pork, beef sirloin and bulgogi is grilled at the table, with a separate side-dish block of lettuce, sliced chilli and garlic to wrap it in. Gogi is at 451 Edgware Road on the Little Venice stretch, where the operator's own About Us section describes marinated meats and fresh seafood prepared on individual grills at the table.

Kimchee occupies 2 Pancras Square at King's Cross, and the two rooms there are not the same. The downstairs Table BBQ room seats guests in semi-private booths with smokeless built-in grills at each table; the ground floor and terrace are cooked in an open-plan kitchen on a traditional charcoal grill, which is the chain's usual service elsewhere.

Clerkenwell and Whitecross Street

Its own homepage states that the Korean BBQ is grilled at the table and describes the house as specialising in Korean table barbecue; the published hours are 6pm to 10.30pm Monday to Thursday and 5pm to 11pm Friday to Sunday.

Korean BBQ House is at 105-107 Whitecross Street in Finsbury. The operator's own site describes built-in tabletop grills that let guests cook fresh meat and seafood through the meal rather than take everything pre-cooked from the kitchen, and gives hours of noon to 9pm Monday to Thursday, 3pm to 10pm Friday, noon to 10pm Saturday and noon to 9pm Sunday. The EC1Y postcode sector falls in Islington, and the City of London boundary crosses Whitecross Street to the south, near Errol Street.

South and east: Silvertown, Kidbrooke, Lee, Wimbledon and New Malden

Cow Cow Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is at 47-49 Lee High Road in Lee, where the buffet menu heads a section 'Sizzle and Simmer at Your Table' and tells diners to grill premium meats and simmer fresh ingredients at the table, with a separate 'Fresh from Our Kitchen' section beside it.

Yori Wimbledon is at 86 The Broadway, where the branch's own page describes 'separated barbeque and non-barbeque dining areas' and the grill sits at the table in the barbeque one; the group's barbecue menu is raw meat by the cut, sold with a vegetable wrap set. What counts as Korean barbecue at the table?
The grill sits in or on the diner's own table and the meat is cooked there, whether the party works the grate or a server does. A gas grate, a downdraft smokeless grill and a charcoal grate all count, and so does a removable grate staff swap out between rounds. A kitchen that grills the meat and sends it out already cooked is a different format however Korean the menu, and so are a bibimbap house, a fried-chicken house and a stone-bowl house, where a heated dolsot does the work instead. At Little Korea on Lisle Street the chefs do the grilling at the table, which is inside the definition; at Kimchee, Pancras Square, the downstairs room is inside it and the ground floor is not.
