Part of Skiing New England
Bill Berry, a Saddleback skier and condo owner, purchased the ski area from prior owner Donald Breen in 2003, per New England Ski History. In December 2012, the Berry family announced that Saddleback was for sale. In July 2015 the family announced Saddleback would close if they could not obtain financing for a new quad chairlift; per New England Ski History, Saddleback closed after the 2014-15 season and did not open for 2015-16. By December 2015 the Berry family said the area would likely reopen in January 2016 under new ownership, but despite snowmaking preparations, the area never opened that winter.
