The station where the 7 train and the Long Island Rail Road meet. MTA's station record gives the stop name 61 St-Woodside, daytime routes 7, structure type Elevated and ADA status 1. A mezzanine at the center, underneath the platforms, carries an ADA-accessible elevator to each subway platform and another to each Long Island Rail Road platform.
History
The station opened on April 21, 1917 as Woodside, part of an extension of the IRT Flushing Line to Alburtis Avenue, now 103rd Street-Corona Plaza. The Long Island Rail Road station on the site opened earlier, on November 15, 1869, under the Flushing and North Side.
