Asser Levy Recreation Center

Built 1905-1908 as one of New York City's monumental public bathhouses and named for Asser Levy, one of the city's first Jewish citizens; a NYC landmark since 1974, now an NYC Parks recreation center with indoor and outdoor pools. The free outdoor pool runs Memorial Day-Labor Day, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; the indoor pool closes each summer, mid-June through mid-September.
