The street Wikipedia calls "the area's main commercial street," with "many restaurants and chain stores." The NYPD's 112th Precinct stationhouse, at 68-40 Austin Street, patrols Forest Hills and Rego Park; the Russell Sage School, J.H.S. 190, is at 68-17 Austin Street; and the Ehrenreich-Austin Playground is at 76-10 Austin Street.
