The museum and chapel stand on Main Road, Biggin Hill, TN16 3EJ. From 1 November to 31 March they open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, with last admission at 3pm; from 1 April to 31 October they open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm, with last admission at 4pm. Admission without Gift Aid is £8.50 for an adult, £4.50 for a child, £8.00 for a concession aged 60 and over and £21 for a family of four, with under-5s free; with Gift Aid the adult rate is £9.35 and the child rate £4.60.
History
St George's RAF Chapel of Remembrance opened in 1951 and is listed Grade II, NHLE 1391588. The collection covers uniforms, medals, letters, documents and objects relating to remembrance and to the founding of the two chapels at the airfield between 1943 and 1951. The operator now brands the site RAF Biggin Hill Museum and Chapel, while the bus stop outside keeps the name Biggin Hill Memorial Museum.
