Chester-Hadlyme Ferry

Connecticut's second-oldest continuously operating ferry, established in 1769. The vessel Selden III carries 8-9 cars across the Connecticut River near Gillette Castle State Park in about five minutes. Seasonal operation April 1-November 30, weekdays 7 a.m.-6:45 p.m., weekends 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; $4-$5 per vehicle.

Established in 1769 under Jonathan Warner.
