Chiesa di Santa Lucia della Tinta

Historic site · Campo Marzio, Italy

A small church on via di Monte Brianzo. Roma Capitale dates it to the tenth century and dedicates it to Lucy from 1394.

History

Roma Capitale records that the church is named for the dyers of the ancient via Trinitatis, today via dei Condotti, which ran down to Ponte Sant'Angelo, and that the dedication to Lucy dates from 1394. Its account describes the façade and campanile, a single nave with three niches on each side and a polychrome coffered wooden ceiling.
