History
The Grade II* entry was designated on 7 May 1954 as list entry 1080946. The freestanding archway about 7 yards north-west of the west doorway is separately listed Grade II, NHLE 1192971, and is reused Merton Priory stonework; the war memorial in the churchyard is separately Grade II, NHLE 1390833. The John Innes (Merton Park) conservation area covers the garden suburb laid out by John Innes from the 1870s. Merton Park tram stop is 403 m away on London Trams, and South Merton and Wimbledon Chase, both Thameslink stations on National Rail, are about 800 m off.
