Congregation Knesseth Israel
Historic site · Ellington, Connecticut
One of Connecticut's rare surviving early-20th-century country synagogues: a modest 1913 Colonial Revival wooden building designed by Leon Dobkin, moved to its Pinney Street site in 1954. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. Described as an active Modern Orthodox congregation; no public visitor hours are published, so it's best appreciated from the street.
