Nellie McKnight Museum

A circa-1812 house museum wholly owned and operated by the Ellington Historical Society, a 501(c)(3) that preserves the town's agricultural heritage. Keeps no regular public hours; opens for scheduled events, most with free admission.

History

Named for Nellie McKnight (1894-1981), a teacher who returned to Ellington in 1929 and served as librarian of the Hall Memorial Library until her retirement in 1967.
