A local history museum in an 1846 building, leased to the Corinth Historical Society.
History
The building, constructed in 1846 in the Cookeville hamlet of Corinth, now houses the Corinth Academy Museum, which the town leases to the Corinth Historical Society, founded 1978, in exchange for the society maintaining the building and grounds, according to the Town of Corinth's own Corinth Historical Society page. The museum's collection includes exhibits on the historic Bowen-Hunter Bobbin Mill, which once operated in East Corinth making wooden bobbins for the textile industry.
