An ocean-going steam tug of 1907, riveted steel, still carrying her original triple-expansion steam engine, and part of San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. The ships of San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park are berthed at the Mare Island Coal Sheds in Vallejo while Hyde Street Pier is rebuilt.
History
She was built in 1907 by John H. Dialogue and Son of Camden, New Jersey, for the Red Stack fleet of the Shipowners' and Merchants' Tugboat Company: 151 feet long, 26 feet in beam, 409 gross tons. She towed her sister Goliah around South America to San Francisco, and afterwards towed sailing vessels, log rafts and barges, among them a caisson for the Pearl Harbor dry dock and another for the Panama Canal works. She finished on Western Pacific Railroad car barges until 1962. She was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, reference number 75000225, and is a National Historic Landmark.
