The Pier 39 sea lions
Attraction · Fisherman's Wharf, California
A colony of California sea lions began hauling out at Pier 39 in September 1989, and the animals have been on the pier's floating docks since. No source states which dock they use, so none is given here. They are wild animals on public water, free to look at, and they come and go with the fish.
History
No source states a further history of the colony.
