History
Its history sign records that "Prior to development, Chinese farmers had owned this land and formed an exclusive farming enclave in this area, growing produce for sale in Manhattan's Chinatown." The sign also lists Horace Harding's directorships, among them the New York Municipal Railways System, American Express, the Continental Can Company and the Southern Pacific Company.
