The mall complex at the centre of the neighbourhood. It opened in March 1968 and was originally called the Japanese Cultural and Trade Center. Two malls, Japan Center West at 1581 Webster Street and Japan Center East at 1737 Post Street, are joined by the enclosed Bridge of Shops over Webster Street.
History
The architecture is by Minoru Yamasaki. Van Bourg/Nakamura drafted the plans and the interiors were by Takenaka & Associates of Osaka.
