Justin Smith Morrill Homestead

The Morrill Homestead is the Gothic Revival house that U.S. Senator Justin Smith Morrill designed and built in stages between 1848 and 1855; original furnishings and family possessions remain inside, per Wikipedia's Justin Smith Morrill Homestead article. The property was designated a National Historic Landmark on September 22, 1960, and separately added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1966. It is now operated as a Vermont State Historic Site by the state's Division for Historic Preservation, open for tours May through October.
