Moor's Indian Charity School Museum

The 1755 schoolhouse where the Rev. Eleazar Wheelock educated Native American students before moving the school to New Hampshire, where it became Dartmouth College. Town-owned with a permanent exhibit on education in Columbia; rarely open, so call the town (860-228-0110) before visiting.
History
Built in 1755 on land donated by Joshua Moor; a 1969 plaque calls it the seeding ground of Dartmouth College.
