Morden Hall Park

Gilliat Edward Hatfeild bequeathed the core of the estate to the National Trust on his death on 9 February 1941. Morden Hall dates from the 1770s and is listed Grade II, NHLE 1080905; it was a school around 1840, a military hospital in the First World War, and later a women's and children's hospital. Two well-preserved snuff watermills stand on the Wandle: the western block is Grade II, NHLE 1080907, and the eastern block Grade II, NHLE 1193511.
