Music Mountain

Founded in 1930 by Jacques Gordon, former concertmaster of the Chicago Symphony, with concerts in the acoustically celebrated, air-conditioned Gordon Hall — The New Yorker dubbed it "the summer shrine of the string quartet." The mountaintop campus is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. 2026 season: 15 weekends, June 7-September 13, Sunday chamber concerts and Saturday jazz.
