Noah Webster House

Birthplace museum of lexicographer Noah Webster, creator of the first American dictionary, born here in 1758; houses the Tracey M. Wilson West Hartford History Center with exhibits on local history. School-year hours Mon-Fri 1-4 p.m.; summer hours Mon-Sat 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

History

West Hartford was Hartford's 'West Division' from 1672 until it incorporated separately on May 3, 1854.
