The Old Course at Bedford Springs
Golf course · Bedford, Pennsylvania
Number 27 on Golf Digest's "Best in State" ranking of the best golf courses in Pennsylvania, edition 2025-'26, labelled "Public" — the highest-ranked entry on that list a traveller with no membership and no room can play. 18 holes, par 72, rating 73, slope 140, 6,785 yards. The resort credits Spencer Oldham, A.W. Tillinghast and Donald Ross; Golf Digest credits "Tillinghast/Ross" and disputes Oldham's standing. Ron Forse and Jim Nagle rebuilt every hole in 2006 and 2007. The operator publishes a "2026 Old Course Fees" table with a "Non-resort guest rates" column at $289 for 18 holes Friday to Sunday in season, and states that no stay is required. The surrounding Bedford Springs Hotel Historic District was designated a National Historic Landmark on 17 July 1991.
