Old Furnace State Park
Park · Killingly, Connecticut
A 367-acre state park named for a pre-Revolutionary iron furnace that sold horseshoes to the Continental Army. A roughly 3-mile blue-blazed trail crosses Furnace Brook and climbs Half Hill for views into Rhode Island; a shorter three-quarter-mile spur reaches an overlook. Free, year-round hiking, boating, fishing and hunting.
