Rocky Neck State Park
Park · East Lyme, Connecticut
A 710-acre coastal park between a salt marsh and tidal river on Long Island Sound, with a half-mile crescent of white-sand beach, a boardwalk with viewing platforms, about five miles of trails, a 160-site campground and three rustic cabins. The Ellie Mitchell Pavilion, built 1934-1937 with WPA labor, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Open daily 8 a.m. to sunset; free for in-state vehicles.
