History
The designation findings name John Reid, Jr. as the architect and give a period of significance beginning in 1915. Three interior features are named in them: the ornamental ceiling of the Main Reading Room, the glazed and panelled partition between the Main Reading Room and the Children's Room, and a deck and garden at the rear. The ordinance gives the property as Assessor's Block 6539, Lot 034, and passed on first reading on 26 February 2008.
