Basilica di Santa Maria in Aracoeli
Historic site · Campitelli, Italy
A minor basilica on the Arx, the northern summit of the Capitoline, which it.wikipedia says is reached by the Scalinata dell'Ara Coeli. No source states its opening hours, so none are given here.
History
it.wikipedia records that the church was originally called Santa Maria in Capitolio and formed part of the monastery complex on the hill, that the present name is attested from 1323, and that construction runs from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century, Gothic and then Baroque.
